Interview: An Evening with Catholic Guilt and its Moonshine-Infused Paint

HERE is an interview I conducted with St. Louis' very own Catholic Guilt for the Riverfront Times Music Blog. I was fortunate to catch up with the boys to talk about recording, the new album, and the general madness surrounding their performances.

New Release: ESCALADE Presents Chuck and Rufus in "We're Sensitive"

This month, Escalade (aka the booty-dance crunk off moniker of Sean Burk) released a new album entitled "ESCALADE Presents Chuck and Rufus in "We're Sensitive." In this new effort, we find Burk taking residency at the producer chair, opposite a duo simply known as Chuck and Rufus. Almost in complete contrast to the super bumpin' tracks of Escalade, Chuck and Rufus perform with a sonic onslaught of feedback, guitar, drums, and slurred-vocals. More akin to Burk's other band, Catholic Guilt, Chuck and Rufus will satiate any aural hunger with an attack of crumbling dissonance.

St. Louis' Catholic Guilt have released their version of 'Silent Night' for Pancake Master Rob Severson's Pancake Productions 2011 Christmas Compilation. Make sure to download their record 'Postcards from Copper Canyon' - Also available on their bandcamp page.
