The Conformists will be playing their last show with lead singer Mike Benker on Friday, November 18th at the Schlafly Tap Room. For the past 15 years, The Conformists have headed St. Louis' avant-garde rock division, creating challenging, heavy music in the vein of U.S. Maple and Shellac. After his time as a founding member of the Conformists, Benker will be retiring leaving the future of the band in the hands of the remaining members. Local noise/math rock spasmodians Spelling Bee and Airport Elementary School (performing for the first time in over 4 years) open.
