NAUTICAL ALMANAC AT FLOATING LABORATORIES TONIGHT!
Nautical Almanac return to St. Louis for the first time since their 2007 performance at Spooky Action Palace! They'll be invading the minds and souls of those fortunate to grace Floating Laboratories tonight. Global Distance, Kevin Harris, and Brain Transplant with Josh Levi open this evening's concert. Floating Laboratories is located at 4528 Ohio St. - Show is $5 and begins at 9pm.
In addition to tonight's music, local warlock Jeremy Kannapell will be selling 10 limited edition prints for $5 each. All proceeds go to Nautical Almanac.
From Brain Transplant's Chris Smentkowski:
"Old friends Nautical Almanac are coming to STL again Tuesday July 3 @ Floating Labs. I think the first time they came through STL was in '98. If you've ever traveled the astral plane you've seen/heard their multimedia trespasses for over 40000+ years. Be cool. Do drugs. Skip school. Make out. Make this show."

Tomorrow: Dinner Music at the Contemporary Art Museum
Happy Friday, Mugs. Just a quick reminder about an event I highly recommend. Tomorrow, in conjunction with local artist Mel Trad's exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum, Rick Weaver (of Form-A-Log, The New Flesh, The Ruined Frame, Global Distance, Inner Fare, etc.) will present an all-day video installation with his Dinner Music project and Family Visions Video. A screening of the new video "Normal Love" (Featuring Larva Lu, Tiffany Minx, Mel Trad, Chizmo, Mr. Ben, and Weaver, himself) will be open to the public for the first time in history.
Weaver, in addition to being an amazing musician, is nothing short of a genius. Imagine all of those thoughts that drift in and out of your mind daily. The thoughts you push to the back of your head because they're just too amazing to ever be a reality. Well, Weaver is thinking those thoughts ALL THE TIME. The man has alley vision. He cannot do anything but create. Witness the Philly/Baltimore transplant who has taken St. Louis by storm! More information below:
